This page will keep you up to date on all the exciting goings on in my little life,
as well as recent photos.
2002
January 2002- First of all, I'm glad the holidays are over!
I did get a beautiful new guitar from my girlfriend, Jordan for Christmas.
I have a beard now too, as you can see from the above unretouched photograph.
I just finished doing the artwork for the play Lysistrata for the second time.
I loved being part of the whole process, without actually having to be seen or heard on stage. Having finished that,
I'm now working on the web site for Providence Café, which should be ready for public viewing sometime in June.
February 2002- I turned 33 this month.
I went to Asheville with Jordan and her siblings. We had a lot of fun, including horse back riding, rock climbing,
and cave exploring.
I got to see my pal Pat, and get in some long-overdue sparring.
March 2002- Finally, I got to go skiing with some of my buds. I'd do that everyday
if I could. Here's a picture of me with a good friend o' mine.
April 2002- I went to see my first Widespread Panic show in Asheville.
It was great. Now I see why so many follow them around.
I plan to see more. I also saw Ani DiFranco recently (for the 6th time). It was great, as always, but WAY too short!
Lastly, I got a new home gym, so I can obtain a Spider Man physique more quickly now.
May 2002- I went to see George Carlin, & went camping and went to Grandfather Mountain.
Of course Spider Man and Attack of the Clones came out this month. Both are excellent, but I have a couple issues with each:
1) The whole web-coming-out-of-the-wrists thing. And, 2) Jango Fett went out way too easy!
June 2002- I finished the Providence Café web site. I also started taking Kung Fu, which I'm now addicted to!
July 2002- I got to see Rush! A truly amazing show. Getting ready to move to a new house. Started an animation project that should be done in about a year.
Minority Report is an excellent, albeit disturbing movie.
August 2002- Moving was hell. Six days of heavy lifting and cuts. Thanks to all who helped!!! Especially Kevin. Here's the flyer I made to "encourage" people to assist.
Slowly, VERY slowly, all the boxes have been unpacked and things put into place.
I figured the whole moving experience would only put my life on hold for a month. Boy was I wrong! With all the upcoming painting, etc.,
it all will have taken about 4 months. Signs is a good movie (saw it twice).
September 2002- Most of my "free" time has been spent painting the new crib.
It's coming along nicely, but man, do it take a long time!!
Apart from that, I've been working on getting back into playing/recording music, and, of course,
just staying sexy in general.
October 2002- Still painting!! The high point of this month was going to see the
Paul McCartney concert. It takes its place as my favorite concert now. As usual, I didn't have the time or money to
dress up for Halloween. Everyone always expects me to go crazy ever since that Borg costume years ago.
November 2002- Yup, still painting. Saw Panic again.
Too much drama at work!
Due to a number of circumstances (I'll spare you the details here), I was forced to shave my beard or lose my job.
One day I will work in an environment with stable mature individuals who get enough play with the ladies
they won't target sexy individuals like myself, and such trivialities as facial hair won't matter.
One day I will have justice. Meanwhile, on a happier note (and paving the way to justice),
I've been interning at a video editing company. I've been creating a short animated piece for the company,
and as a result, have had to temporarily put my previous animated project on hold. But that's o.k.
Thanksgiving was great as always. Thanks to Jordan and her family for all the hospitality! Due to working 3 jobs,
my plans for getting back into playing and recording music isn't really happening yet.
Here are some still shots of me defending my home from an intruder recently.
December 2002- Man, I hate Christmas.
You can't escape it! It's forced on you. The songs started even before Thanksgiving!! One song in particular has the effect of a rail road spike
through the temple. That song "Hey Santa" (I think by the Wilson sisters) is so bad it even caused a girl I work with to say
" I'd rather eat my own sh*t than hear that song again." I concur.
